Only Inbox opens

For no apparent reason yesterday only the Inbox opens and I can't find a way
to get to any other folder - Sent, Drafts etc etc. My new Dell C521came
with McAfee which I deleted when the trial time expired and I have installed
AVG. I have tried System Restore to no avail. Help please!
 
Go to View | Layout and enable the folder list.

Also make sure AVG was installed with the email scanning option disabled.

Thanks Steve. The folder list was already enabled. Shall I have to
uninstall AVG and reinstall or is there an easier way?
 
That's the only way I know.
