Movie maker will only import first 15 minutes of a 3 hour clip, the clip is a
avi file captured from vhs tape through DV camera, any help with this problem
would be appreciated, Cheers

That would have been my first guess as well except it sounds like the clip
is already on the hard drive.
Ossie, are you trying to capture or simply import a clip from your hard
drive that has already been captured?
If your capturing I agree with Papajohn but if your just importing there may
be a problem with the clip itself.
Does it play past that 15 minute point in your media player?

Thanks for the replies, I am just tring to import from the hard drive and yes
it does play past the 15 min mark in media player, file size is 38.5gb'
Cheers

turn off the option to have Movie Maker automatically subdivide the file
into clips.... with that large a file, I'm thinking the process to detect
all those scene changes might be needing more computer resources than what
you have. If it imports as a single clip, then see if it previews through
the full 3 hours.
