I have ordered two different brands (and three different cartridges)
of "Epson Compatable" ink from ebay over the past several months and
none of them worked in my 1270. Sometimes if I would clean the jets,
they would print fine for a few pages and then start skipping colors
again. It's not just one color that's being skipped though yellow
seems to be the most problematic. I never had this problem with Epson
ink. Has anyone else had this problem or can give me some insight into
what's causing this? Must I pay the high prices for Epson ink?

Thanks!

My experience with third party ink for my Epson 780 is not good either, the
color is somewhat off, but also micro-banding is showing up. I use Epson
paper. It looks like the Epson printer heads are very particular to the ink
being used.

.... or the aftermarket ink or cartridges are bad. This is the point, change
supplier.

Yianni,
I would not by ink from Ebay even though the prices seem to be enticing.
I would only buy from a reputable company. There are many out there. Check
previous posts. i.e. MIS @ www.inksupply.com.
Good luck.

I suggest to change the supplier whatever is. Think that there is much
competition in the market reducing the prices and most of the cartridges are
bad. When the bulk price is about $4-5 what you can expect. Also reputable
suppliers force to buy cheap products. Prefer USA or secondly European made
carts.
