only burn 3 songs-why?-help

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Each time I've burned a CD, it only lets me record
3 songs. When I try to record the 4th song, I get a
message from Windows Media Player saying "will not fit"
I don't understand why I'm only able to record 12 minutes
of music when the disc says 80min. (Imation disc that
came with computer)
Any help appreciated-

What file format are you using to burn your songs? For example, .wav files
are very large.
