Ok i'm having a problem with either my keyboard or my
computer. I just recently bought a Logitech Elite to
replace an older zippy keyboard. With the Zippy I was only
able to use at most 3 keys at a time. I thought that if i
bought a newer keyboard I would be able to use more at the
same time.
Unfortunately with the Logitech I am only able to use 2 at
most and the third will not register. I searched throught
my computer and tried to find anything related to zippy but
couldn't. I installed the Logitech iTouch software but it
still will not allow me to use any more than 2 keys at a
time. Is this a problem with my keyboard or my computer.
Oh yeah... I also looked in my registry and tried to change
some
keyboard queue buffer key from 63 hexadecimal to 200
decimal and that didn't work either. Help Please!

When you say you want to use "more than two keys at a time", are you
talking about using multiple modifier keys with a single normal key
(e.g. <Ctrl><Alt><Shift>A), which obviously should be supported by any
PC keyboard and Windows OS?

If you are talking about pressing more than one normal key (e.g. A and
B together), I would expect the result to be _very_ hardware
dependent. In general, since normal keyboard use does not include
pressing multiple normal keys simultaneously, I would expect something
on the spectrum between recognising only the first such key pressed
until that key has been released and puttng an arbitrary number of
keystrokes in the input buffer in the order in which the keys were
actually depressed (since a human's concept of pressing two or more
keys at the same time is unlikely to correspond to an computer's much
more precise concept of simultaneity).
