only 256 color in Terminal Serv client

Is there a way of increasing the colors in terminal serv?
And if not what are the options for running an app that
requires more colors?

Windows 2000 only support 256 colors in a terminal
services session. If you need more colors, either upgrade
to Windows Server 2003 or buy a third party addon, like
Citrix MetaFrame.

W2K has only support for 256 colors.
Windows 2003 supports True Colors, as well as Citrix MetaFrame on top
of NT/W2K TS.
