We've a Windows 2000 server here wich is configured as terminal server.
Is it possible to configure a user account so that if a user is logging on,
that
he only gets an application on his screen and when he closes the application
that the Terminal session is closed to?
For this user no startmenu etc etc from the Windows Console...

Regards,

Gideon

Yes, in the user settings in Active Directory you have settings for the
Terminal Server environment where you can select an application to start
when the user logs on to Terminal Services.
and when he closes the application
that the Terminal session is closed to?

Yes, if there are no other processes left in the session. You may try,
and then if the session does not close, try to find out using tsadmin
which processes are still running and try to get them closed in some way.

If it is still not possible because processes are left running may wrap
the application you run in my logonwrap.exe utility:
http://here.is/olof/files/logonwrap.zip
Put the logonwrap.exe file in the Windows directory on the Terminal
Server and insert logonwrap.exe and a space first on the command line in
the user settings where you have selected which application you want to
run when users log on. This will ensure the session is logged out when
the application terminates.

Do you need just 1 application per user, or do users have to run different
applications without seeing the desktop?
