Hi
I have inserted a flash movie in a page.
How can I make sure the other page elements have loaded before the flash
movie. At the moment the flash movie starts to play even though other page
elements have not loaded leaving the page looking messy and incomplete.
Thanks
Paul M

You cannot. This indicates a page with too many graphic elements that are
too heavy in weight. Can you post a link to the page?

You gotta put a sound off button on that page.

I'd say the page is excessively heavy at 3MB. With this kind of weight,
there's just no telling what will load first.

On my 5Mbps cable connection there was no perceptable problem. However, I
always change browser settings for larger font.

When I change to a larger font in IE 6, there is no change and I would
quickly leave the site. That flash movie further detracts from the message
that you are trying to hard to project.

In Opera 7, all is well, except the main text navigation links are so
pixilated at 120% so as to be illegible.

In NN7 and Firefox 1.0.2, the text sizes change readily, but this causes the
text links in the navigation structure to exceed the white space alloted.
When selecting What We Do and Quick Link, several of the drop down links are
illegible when superimposed on the images below.

Just a heads up. Be truly ingenious.

Thanks Chuck
The movie is a link from
http://www.ingenious-group.com/conferences.htm
and is not intended as a page for information more as a page to display the
movie.Instead of placing the movie on a blank page I decided to fit it into
the page it is in so that people can link on to further pages from that.I do
take on board your other points though.
Thanks
