I want to look into online gaming - gaming with a program running on
my computer, and being tied into a main computer over the Internet
running the program too. Tech TV has a "LAN Party". Players playing
with each other on teams & against others.

I just want to know more about all of this. I'd like to know if a 2.2
GHz Athalon 3200+ with 1 MB RAM, running nVidia audio & nVidia
GEForce2 video chips (built into the mother board, borrowing 64 MBs of
RAM for video), is good enough for doing this. Cable connection -
about 250 Kbps upload/3000 Kbps download.

Thanks for the reply. Because of your post, I was able to find
microsoft.public.games
on my usenet server.
