C ColTom2 Mar 16, 2005 #2 Hi: You will need to uninstall the program or application that is being used for the online chatting. i.e. Windows Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), ICQ etc. IE6 and Windows XP are not the specific program being utilized for chat purposes. To uninstall AOL AIM or ICQ go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and you can uninstall from there. Windows Messenger is a bit more complicated. Here are some websites that outline procedures for uninstalling or preventing Windows Messenger from running on Windows XP. http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_mess_disable.htm http://www.andyrathbone.com/tips/messenger.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302089
