Online Application Has Blocked My Connection ($100 UP FOR GRABS)

Party Poker has blocked my connection to their software. It is only my
computer that is blocked, as the rest of the computers in the house can
still connect to the cardroom. I can access the website with this computer
and log in with my account, but not the poker room software. What are they
doing to block my specific computer? I have already tried uninstalling the
software, deleting everything related to party poker on the machine
(cookies, registry entries). How are they blocking my specific computer, as
I said other computers share the same connection and can log in
successfully. There is $100 up for grabs to anyone that successfully helps
me overcome this, transferred to your PayPal, Neteller, moneybookers or any
poker room account. Thanks.
 
Rename your computer before the next install. Control panel, System
Properties.

Only $100? That just barely covers our bench fee. If gambling has been
no more lucrative for you than that, stop. Or, if it's an addiction with
you, try to give it up.

If it's that bad for you where you are whining like this, you should give
it up and back away. But if you want to stay addicted to the game with the
one computer, then I suggest you change the NIC in the computer as they
could be blocking by NIC MAC.

Keep your money and use it to seek professional help about your problem as
you need it.

You didn't bother to read their terms of service. I saw their spam post
somewhere just today. You get ONE ACCOUNT. That is it. When they
detect you using another computer at the same time for multiple
connects, they'll probably block those, too.

Oh, yeah, like we are going to believe the likes of a compulsive gambler
that has to go online to get his fix. Put the $100 is an escrow account
where anyone can verify that you actually deposited the money and then
ask again.

I'm not too familiar with Party Poker, but..

a) Is it possible you have some firewall software running on the blocked PC?
This may be disrupting your secure connection to Party.

b) The most probable way of identifying a users computer uniquely is to use
the MAC address of the network card. There are instructions on changing this
here:
http://www.nthelp.com/NT6/change_mac_w2k.htm

...though its fairly complicated and probably only worth trying as a next to
last resort. (The very last resort being to re-install windows)

You bastard! You just stole the money away. He ain't gonna pay now,
for sure. You could've teased him with a hint first to go fishing to
see if you got any nibbles for payment. By the way, and as a hint, you
don't need any additional software to change the *reported* MAC address
depending on which version of Windows you are running (and I suspect
*NIX users have a similar method of changing the reported MAC address),
and you don't have to bother with UKPaul's suggestion of cloning the MAC
address. Further hint: it is a device property.

Make sure you note your original MAC id so you can revert if necessary.

I used this program to fool ntl that my ps2 was a pc ;)

This has happened to me a couple times before, if you do a system
restore to a date prior to the problem evrything will be just fine.

Start-Programs-Accesories-system tools
