One way to manage follow up calls

This is a fairly long thread but hopefully, helpful to those, like us, who
have struggled to use BCM for follow up calls.

We need to be able view a list of follow up calls to accounts (or business
contacts – either will do) that need to be made each day. From that list we
need to drill through to the account and make the call. Sounds simple doesn’t
it?

Apparently BCM doesn’t support Follow up flags; and Tasks are held outside
of BCM. The only way to make a link that you can drill back to the account
with, is to manually search and attach from the contact box on the task. This
takes ages….. trust me!

Anyway, we seem to have found a way to deal with this linking issue with
Tasks.

When you are in an account and want to create a task, go:

New, task (as normal)
Add the notes you want
Then just "cut and paste" the name of the account from the account main
screen, to the "contact" field (bottom left of the task screen).
The link is now made.

After you have saved the task, when you go back into it, you can drill
straight through to the account.

This sounds a bit simple but works fine and has alleviated much frustration
with this aspect of BCM.

I hope someone finds this helpful as we suffered a long time before finding
this.
