One URL remains after clearing history

My pc is running Windows XP and IE6. I cleared the cookies, temporary
internet files and history using the menu's Tools - Internet Options
commands. It has always worked in the past. This last time it won't clear a
single URL that keeps appearing when I select File - Open and type the first
letter "T" in the box.

I repeated the Tools - Internet Options commands a couple of times but to no
avail. How can I get rid of that last URL?

Hi,
This URL is coming from the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
