One Touch Buttons.

I had to reformat my computer, losing most everything ..and my one touch
buttons at the top of my compaq laptop worked soon after that, but have
recently stopped working..any idea what is going on?

have u stopped any startup items? mayb a item called kbd.exe? i had same
problem on my computer. but soon to find out, that i stopped a unknown item
from the startup

thanks Jay, I am not sure if i stopped it..but If i did..do you know how I
can start it again?

Start > Run

Type:

msconfig


Hit enter


Click on the "Startup" Tab

look for kbd.exe (or summin similar to keyboard, or ne thing u think has to
do witha keyboard), and make sure the box IS checked.

Not sure about laptops, but I use a Compaq keyboard with one touch buttons
on my desktop. I had to download drivers for the keyboard from the HP (who
now own Compaq) site in order to get it to work. Try that route if the posts
from others here have not provided the answers.
