one record in subform

How can i set the subform to only show me the first record coz that's all
i'll ever need. What happens is i fill in the record it's just a tick box and
a date and i press enter and it takes me to a blank record i don't want that
to happen
 
If you want only the first record to be shown in the sub form, add the Top 1
to the record source of the sub form

Select Top 1 Field1, Field2 From TableName
