I phoned them back when I had to pay for it and they said "no problem". You can find a free one-year trial on the 'net. I have Norton AV and it lets me scan any filesystem that is mounted, including thos from other machines, although it is installed on only one machine. It's a somewhat old version so I do not know if this is true of more recent Symantec products. Steve
