My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:
Id like to hit a key on my computer and have it come up on two of my
computers at the same time, not a switch that only controls one at a
time, but a splitter if you will, pref. ps2 but usb is ok if there
even is one that exists, or would there be some kinda
conflict...please help...
I'd say build one or modify a NON-USB (I'd so not try this without a USB)
KVM (older model would be the best option in my opinion) that you can grab
schematics for. You can likely build one pretty easy just by splicing two
together and then using a breadboard you could easily make them switch on
and off and make them selectable. I'd use two exact same model keyboards and
just hack the wire from one and build it. I've never seen (that's a good
idea though) one that will actually send the impulse to both PCs at the same
time or, more accurately, if I have I've never thought of using it.
It's be pretty simple to build unless I'm missing something? A few hours
with a soldering gun, a switch, a fist-full of wires to use as jumpers, and
a breadboard? I'd wonder about the resistance but it'd be easier than
etching one I guess.
