One form to multiple databases?

I'm new with Access. The online help says I can create a form for multiple
tables, but the topics I've read imply that the tables are all in the same
database. Can I create a form that lets me enter data in one database while
viewing content from a totally different database?

Look in Access Help about Linking tables. Very easy to do this in Access.

I'm a newbie and have a similiar question....I checked out linking tables but
didn't get a clear idea about using one form for multiple databases.

Here's my problem:
There are 18 tables in a database and I have a nifty form that displays the
data that I need. These tables are updated weekly and I get a new database
each week.

I would like to use the original form that I spent a great deal of time
getting just right for each new weekly update. This must be a common need but
can't figure out how it is done in access.

All help is appreciated!

From reading the Access help, I get the impression that a table is inside a
database (.mdb file). If you have multiple tables INSIDE a single database, I
see how to link them. But what if you want to display info from different
..mdb files in one single form?

I'm using Access 2002 (10.4302.4219) SP-2. In the online help, I tried
searching for "link tables" after reading your response. None of the help
topics that I read say anything about how to link two different databases
(.mdb files).

So, I still need help. I'd really appreciate any ideas.

From the main menu, select File, then Get External Data, then Link Tables.
