A horse called Muckshifter running in the 5.20 at Worchester today 26/03/2006;)
 
I've never bet on horses, but tempted to put a fiver on

What does that mean and how do I do it? ;)

Never bet on anything like this, so no idea how it works! Do you only win if it comes first?

Go to the bookies write the bet like this

Muckshifter 5.20 @ worchester
£2.50 EW
Total £5.00

If it wins @ 12/1 you have £2.50 on the win ok = £32.50
and £2.50 place @ 5th the odds =£7.20
so if it wins you get a return of £39.70
if it comes 2nd or 3rd you get £7.20
 
We is all gonna be sat here for 5.30 now, waiting for the end of the race ... I was going to put my 'running' shoes on just to help a little ... waste of time, ain't got one for the walking stick.

The horses I back have all got three legs> but the trainer won`t tell me that untill after the race:lol:

Ian just do it 50p each way, if you win you get a few quid, if it comes in last you loose £1. Is it live on the radio??

Still made £1 profit from another horse from a random race that Becky picked - so still a win overall :D
 
So were did muckshifter finish in the race?

Good to see your first go as a punter was a win Ian, good to see it's down to your er, vast racing knowledge & help from Becky who obviously has a good eye for the winners:thumb: Can she help me pick 3 for the national at all:rolleyes: :D
