One email account, two user accounts

New to vista and windows mail.

My husband and I have one email address which we share, but have set up one
user account each. We want to be able to see all emails, but what appears to
be happening is that we can only see the emails that we download when each of
us logs in. Does that make sense? What we want to be able to see is all sent
and received emails no matter who is logged in. We can't figure out a way of
doing this unless scrap individual accounts and we both work from one user
account.

Is there anyone out there who can advise on what our best option is?

Many thanks!

For each of you to download the same email, you have to change the settings,
to leave the email on the server, at least until both of you get it
downloaded..

Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server
[x] Remove from server after xx days
ok

Other responders have already given you information on
how both of you can see all incoming emails.
However, there is no easy way that both of you can see
each other's sent emails. If that is important, you may have
to start using a common Windows user login, at least for email.

How about: Tools>Options>Send. Check save copy of all sent messages in the
"Sent Items" folder.

How will that put a copy in the Sent Items folders of *both* users?

Thanks All - I'll give it a go!

Do you have the option to use IMAP for email?
If you do it leaves the mail on the server but manipulates it like its
local.
So either could read it or delete or forward it, etc. from any machine with
an account on it.

Thanks All for your posts. I have followed your instructions and we can now
see all emails from both user accounts for Vista.

Your help is much appreciated!

Maybe I missed something but I thought she said there was only one email
account.
