One component of application refuses to run on new computer

I am in the process of migrating to a brand new computer (XP-SP2, all
updates). Everything was going well with the installation of software
until I tried to install Correcteur 101, v. 5.5 plus the v. 5.6 update.
The software seems to install correctly and all the components work
well except the most important, the grammatical analysis which
doesn't work at all. As well the integration with Word 2003
doesn't work any better. When I click on the "grammatical
correction" button Correcteur starts but stays completely inactive
with a small blinking yellow square where the text should have
appeared.

I've tried everything I can think of to determine the cause of this
problem but with no luck. I deinstalled and reinstalled Correcteur
several times. I copied the Correcteur files manually from the
directories where they are situated on my old computer to the same
directories on the new, and so forth-but with no solution and without
changing the behavior of Correcteur on the new machine.

Today I carried my analysis of this problem a bit further technically
but with no success. Using DependencyWalker I traced all the file
dependencies flowing from correcteur101.exe, first on my old computer
where C101 works flawlessly (both alone and with Word) and then on the
new one. I then exported all the parameters for each file implicated
to two tables in a data base so I could compare all the parameters of
each file for each computer. Following that comparison, I was quite
shocked to discover that there isn't a single different that emerged.
A complete mystery!

PS I also tried temporarily disabling at the BIOS level the multiplex
service that integrates the operation of the two Cores (it's an Intel
Core Duo) of the new computer but also with no success.

Suggestions more than welcome!

Contact the program vendor for tech support help with their program.

I would but it looks as if they've disappeared. At first I thought
they'd been boiught out but I can't find a live link to them.

Too bad--I really liked their little grammar checker!

Actually someone on a French group I cross-posted this too (in French)
just pointed out a link to a company in Paris that is marketing a new
version of it. I guess the original company did get swallowed up after
all.

Then there is still hope. Good luck.
