One click access to the latest definitions (?)

32-bit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=85914&clcid=0x409
64-bit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=86955&clcid=0x409

Not sure how this will pan out, but these are the shortcuts behind the links
in the upper right of this new page:

http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/

We'll have to keep an eye on them and see how they change over time, but
even saying:
"Go to the link (above) and hit the 32bit definitions link in the right
column" is a lot easier than extracting the URL from the windowsupdate.log
file and posting it..

That's part of what we might have to wait for.

Or--can you tell me that we are already on a delta beyond the Full that is
posted there, so we can see that it is already out of date?

Hello,

i understand no all your post upon delta or full upgrade.

It seems that i have the upgrade automaticly via WU...
Is it good so ?

thanks

Hi benoit,

Some are having problems with WU/MU. Others have all updates blocked till
reviewed. I've read about firewalls and the like.

32-bit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=85914&clcid=0x409
64-bit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=86955&clcid=0x409

there are many, for a variety of reasons, who will find this handy.

Full = Version and Definition
usually the size of the file (MPAS-FE.EXE) is around 3 MB

Delta = Definition
usually the size of the file (mpas-d_ ,exe) is around 200-400 KB

I hope that this post now saves somebody else the hours of trawling through
the web trying to find an answer.

And mine, as well. However, these groups attest to the fact that there's a
significant population of mainly corporate or institutional users who can't
update via that mechanism.

That is the best way.

There are a small group of users who are not able to update that way for a
variety of reasons--in fact, I have a server which fits that description at
the moment--and these links are useful for them.
