Dear Sir/Madam,

I seen that in w2k and as well as in w2k3 server. I have
domaincontroller but due to some hardware failure I reinstall w2k and make
it as domaincontroller. I configure whatever previous configuration no
changes like same domain name, netbios name all same but when my client
system loging by their own id then one error occure that domain not
available or password wrong like this. So I remove from domain and reboot
and again put it domain then i able to loging from client system. Same story
i seen in win2k3. Can anybody tell me why this is happen if all
configuration same like previous.
Thanking you.

Yours truly,
vicky sam.

It's a NEW domain -- the client computers are members (with accounts and
passwords) in the OLD domain.

Even machines have a (hidden) password when they are members of a domain.

Do NOT re-install ALL of your DCs -- if you must re-install a DC, first
create
another DC (and transfer single master roles to it) before taking the LAST
DC
out of the domain.

If the last DC is destroyed/removed, then that domain is destroyed.
