Every time Vista starts, it shows the on-screen keyboard. Although I close
it, the next time I boot, it will be there. How can I turn it off? Thanks
for any help.

Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Explore all Settings > Use the
computer without a mouse or keyboard > uncheck the "Use On-Screen Keyboard".

That should make it to not start up when you boot.

Hey, Dustin, thanks for that. I've been struggling with the same thing for a
long time. It's notable that changing the settings on the Ease of Access
button on the log-in screen won't change anything. The settings just change
back when you log on. The way you suggested seems to be the only way to turn
it off. There should definitely be a "Don't Show Again" button on the
keyboard. It's just annoying. Thanks again,
-Thomas
