We have been using a Word document with linked tables
from Excel since at least 1999, but I am unsure of what
the software versions were. As it stands now: I have an
11 page Word document with 8 'apparent' links to a
workbook. We have broken all visible links as seen from
the Edit/Links toolbar, and created new links from Excel.
On screen during editing and in Print Preview, the
document looks correct. When printed out, some of the
pictures in the document are replaced with linked tables,
so that some of the linked tables are duplicated.
The question: How can the document look correct on screen
while editing and during print preview (before and after
saving the document), but actually print with linked
tables messed up?
This issue has happened on machines running Windows 98,
2000, XP Home and XP Pro, with local and network
printers, so I doubt it is a driver problem, but wil
listen to all ideas.
I look forward to any possible help, we have sunk hours
into trying to fix this with no luck. Thanks in advance.
