Replace the switch...it is a momentary on/off switch.

Supply comes on.
Green light on the mobo comes on. But the mobo / hd never comes on / boots
up.

Trace the 2 wires that come from the on/off switch to the motherboard, short
those 2 pins together. If the machine doesn't power up then you either have
a defective power supply or motherboard. If it does power up then you have
a defective switch. I would suspect that the switch is fine.

Agreed. If the OP is wondering, the wires from the on/off switch are not
polarity sensitive. Can plug them in either way.

Hi XP Novice,
1) The on/off could certainly be bad
2) The motherboard may have a problem
and
3) The Power Good signal supplied to the motherboard is not within
specifications.
