I have a DSL Broadband connection to the internet and am using a Westail Modem.
Latly,as I try to connect to the internet,I am getting on/off moments of
connections to no connection at all. When I get no connection,Internet
Explorer, displays the message"Internet Explorer could not display the page".I
also get the "windows messages","program is not responding"with the option to
"end program". My computer is XP Pro.

I'm just wondering,if this sounds like a problem with the modem or something
else?
Has anyone out there had a similar experience that could help me narrow this
problem down??.Please help.

Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:

= Then try to Disable the Add-Ons on your Browser somehow installed on your
browser, On how to disable the Add-ons follow this:

Reboot your machine, does it help?

Try to Turn the Modem/Router OFF for a while ( 60Secs or so) and the
PC/Laptop at the same time. Then Boot up/Power On the Modem/Router and wait
for 60secs and then Power up the PC/Laptop and see if the connection will
hold.
