Hello,

My Win2k PC won't fully boot up. It comes to the Windows screen and then
reboots and keeps repeating this every time on start up. It's on a loop at
start up.

Is this a problem with the HDD?

Can I repair it?

Thanks.

Have you changed any hardware recently?
Particularly, motherboard or hard disk controller.

Hi,

Do you encounter the same behavior when you boot in safe mode ?

No, I haven't added any new hardware or changed anything on the PC.

I will try safe mode.

Thanks.

I have tried start up in safe mode and the same problem persists.

What can I do now?

Thanks.

Hi,

You should make a parallel installation or plug the disk on an other
computer in order to save your datas.

and then:

1- to take and analyse the memory.dmp file generated during the loop and to
try to understand what happens and to correct the system

Note: to analyse memory.dmp needs debugging skills
You may need to call microsoft support to analyse it

or

2- Once if the server is not critical, the easiest solution will be to
restore it
