Greetings,
I have no idea where else to post this question and the official ScanSoft
forum is taking hours to email my password to their own forums.
I have a PDF of a book (that was originally scanned by the copywrite holder
himself) so I can provide him with a searchable and copy-pastable text from
the PDF. I'm using ScanSoft OmniPage Pro Office 14.
After I fix up the (almost perfect) OCR of the text, and save as PDF with
Image on Text... I get the text that I'm looking for, but not the
formatting. For example, some of the lines (because it is source code) has
many spaces before the first character... say for example, 5 spaces. That's
how I correct it in OmniPage. When it saves to Word, it is correct. But
when I copy the text in Acrobat, it converts a multiple spaces to a single
space and for the life of me, I cannot preserve the formatting that way.
Does anyone know of a way that I can make it select the exact text that I
specify? Why can't it just keep the spaces that I put in there without
trying to change it into single spaces only?
Thanks,
Shawn
