I have about 12 variables from which I would automatically
like to produce a pie chart each month. However in any
one month at least 6 of these variables will be zero. I
don't want these to be included on my pie chart or legend.

Any ideas on how to do this.

Thanks in advance.

1. Add a heading to the column that contains the values.
Amt
Jan 10
Feb 0
Mar 8
2. Select the labels and values, and create a pie chart
3. Select a cell in the table, and choose Data>Filter>AutoFilter
4. From the dropdown in the Amt heading, choose Custom
5. From the first dropdown, choose 'does not equal'
6. In the box, type a zero
7. Click OK

Rows that contain a zero will be hidden on the worksheet, and in the chart.

Hi CiaraG.

I have an example that uses a few columns of formula and named ranges.

you may find it useful.

Thanks for all replies.

I should also have asked how do I also omit zero values
from a line graph. I did notice that someone posted a
question a few days ago asking the same question but i am
unable to gain access to the web address that was posted
as a solution.

Thanks again for the help.
