This question strongly implies that you have a unnormalized table with columns like Jan, Feb, ... or Sales1, Sales2, ... If you have that kind of spreadsheet like table, then your report problem is just the tip of a huge iceburg that will sink your ship. If that's not the case, then we need more information about the report's record source tabke/query and these "columns" that might be "empty".
