I had a bad time also with my 9800 PRO. Device manager showed them as
RADEON 9800 PRO (Microsoft Corporation). Also wiped my monitor out of
device manager all together, it wasn't even in there.
It took me almost an hour of install, uninstall, reinstall before I
could get them to take and not slow my computer down to a crawl. These
have been the worst ones to install. I've used all previous versions
with no problem.
If they hadn't taken the last time I tried, I was gonna dump them for
ATI's drivers.
