OLE fields

is there a way to export the contents of an OLE field to
the hard drive. For example if you have a word or .wav
file stored, can you export that file to the hard drive
from the field? I'd assume the data is stored in binary
format.

TIA

The original file is stored as an OLE object by the OLE server at time
of insertion. This means the original file is now stored within an OLE
object wrapper so you cannot simply copy the file to disk.
Some file type would lend themselves to automation to save the contents
of the field to disk. THis would included Word and Excel files. The Wave
files are another story and would depend on the OLE server used to
insert the files.

Do you have too many files to perform the extraction manually via the
original OLE server(s) application?

Thanks Stephen. I was lookign for a way to automate the
process. There isn't that many files at the moment, but
there could be in the future. Thanks for your reply
