Hi!

i am trying to export pictures from a ms access db with Stephen Lebans
tool 'DownloadFiles/ExportOLEtoJpegVer16.zip'.
after a certain amount of picture it stops with the error 2753 ...
does anybody know what that means and what i can change to make it
work?

and:
is it possible to export the pictures and name them with a combination
of 2 fields?
the problem is that i don`t have a unique field in this table. but i
got the fields 'first name' and 'last name' which should make them
(almost) unique.
or (and that would be the best) can i choose a field from another
table?

every hint is appreciated ;-)

michael

Is that the latest version you are using? I think you are using an older
version. The latest release is a major upgrade in terms of functionality and
supported embedded Image types.

The simplest method to achieve a unique single naming field is to add a
temporary Autonumber field. I keep forgetting to add support for multiple
fields to create the "naming" field.

As to your error, is there a Message that is part of that error? Have you
tried temporarily removing the Image that is failing to see if the rest of
the table will export properly?

hello stephen,

thanks for your quick answer!

i`m using the latest version - i freshly downloaded it today from your
website.
a little confusing is that the filename is 'ExportOLEtoJpegVer16.zip'
but the containing db is 'ExportOLEtoJpegVer15.mdb'.

i also get an error message, but unfortunately it is in german.
but anyway, i try to translate it:
There was a problem when MS Access was communicating with the
OLE-Server or the Active-X Element

removing the image that is failing did not help.

since i am an MS Access Newbie and (hopefully) only have to do this one
job on it, perhaps you could explain me how to add a temporary
Autonumber field?

regards,
michael

That's not the latest version, it's dated April 2002.
