I have a computer running Windows XP Home SP2. I have a Belkin USB hub
plugged in, and it runs at the 1.1 speed. Every time I plug in a USB flash
drive, or digital camera, Windows informs me about this slower connection
and recommends I try a USB 2.0 port. Is there a way to disable this
message?

Yes, in Device Manager, under Hardware expand the USB controllers section
right click on the Host controller entry, select Properties and under the
Advanced Tab there should be a "Don't tell me about USB errors" tick box,
tick it then click OK. You may have to do this for all the Host controllers.
