I'm trying to help my dad load one of his favorite games
on our new computer. It was originally made for Windows
95, and we ran it on a Window 98 computer fine. Now he
wants it on our Windows XP computer, but it does not
load. I tried the Game Configuration Wizard, and it did
not seem to help. Is there anything else I can do in
order to be able to install the game?? Thank you for your
time and any feedback you can give me.

Right click on desktop icon, select compatibility mode and check settings
until you find something that works. This does not always work and you may
have to bite the bullet and just not install the game on XP.

You should uninstall the game, then to reinstall it you need to locate the
install file executable, run the Compatibility Wizard on it and select
windows 95. Then, install the game from the newly configured "PIF" file.
Before running the game, locate the executable file that actually starts the
game, and again run the Compatibility Wizard on it, as before. Use the new
PIF file to actually start the game and hopefully that will work. As said
before, the game still may not run but there may be patches for the game.
