We have an old website that was made with html, and we now want to change it
so that i can work with it in FP 2000. We thought I would be able to create
a new design and keep the products the same. Will i be able to publish the
new website and it will automatically replace the old one?

Frontpage websites are "made with HTML" too. The only difference is FP uses
a GUI rather than having users code by hand.

So therefore you can open practically *any* web page or website in
Frontpage. Make sure you open it like File > Open > Site(Web) - not just a
page - and choose the folder("the web") to open.

Frontpage will add its special folders if necessary saying "Frontpage needs
to convert this folder to a web..." or something similar.

You will need to delete the current site prior to publishing, unless all folder and file names are
the same and are in the same location and you have not deleted anything.

I think i forgot to mention the site design was done by someone else so there
are no files or folders that I have related to the site. In that case, how
do i delete the current site? www.care4elders.com

You would have to open the site via a FTP application or have the web host delete everything.
