Old vista still existing after fresh install

Hi i just upgraded my computer and was going to reinstall the operating system.
Am using Windows Vista Enterprise 64 bit, i putted the cd in and the
installation started no problems what so ever but when it was done when my
computer is booting up even though i formated and deleted the old partion i
get to choose, Boot olderversion of windows or Windows Vista.

I tryed to use the xp cd aswell to clear the hdd but nothing is working Help!

You performed a parallel installation of Windows instead of replacing the
existing Windows with the new. You need to start the computer with the dvd
and use the disk tools to delete all Windows partitions and then install
fresh to the 0 partition identified in the "choose a volume" window during
Setup. You can deal with the multiple boot entries with a program called
VistaBoot Pro. It is very easy.
