How does one get back to old threads from months ago? I was saving one in
Outlook Express. When I connected to this newsgroup for the first time in
several months, the thread I was saving disappeared after downloading new
ones.

You can try here at Google advanced search. At least you can find the thread
if you know what it was.

Specific to Inetexplorer.ie6.browser

Win.98 groups

In this group, the oldest thread in which you appear is dated 8/Jan/2004.

I can locate my own threads as far back as April/2003.

You can also check your C:\Windows\Application
Data\Identities\microsoft\outlook express\ whatever folder .dbx See if you
have another one stashed in C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\user\Application
Data\Identities\microsoft\outlook express. Check to see if it is larger than
the size of what you currently have in OE. If so, Import it to OE if you so
desire.

Hope you are well Bob!
Better than a Lock-Down in cell block D, wouldn't you agree? ;-D
Thanks... much better since I fixed a boo-boo on my part. <sg>

What? - another one :-))
If one is to be at the top of their form, one must bone-up on being a
bone-head. <bg> Short version: MSKB wasn't working for me, after some
frantic searching and posting, *I* found (no thanks to the crummy NG's <eg>)
I had inadvertently disabled Active Scripting in the Trusted Sites Zone.
D'oh. <with a stupid grin>
