Old sites, new addresses

I use to go to a couple of websites that have
since "updated" their sites. They have new looks, new
links to use, etc. They say their address hasn't changed.
However, when I click on the site address in my
Favorites, or even enter the address manually, it takes
me to the old site. Some friends that use to frequent the
same sites have no trouble accessing the new webpage
correctly. I've run viruscan and it says I'm clean. Any
ideas??

Do you have the settings control of IE options set for "never" checking for
a new page?
Control Panel>IE Options>general tab>Temp internet files>settings
button>check for newer version of stored pages>"never"? If so, make it
"every visit to a page" or another option rather than never. OK> apply>OK
your way out.

No, not really, the only thing I can think of is to re-visit that site by
the use of google (or whatever), and create a new favorite for it. When told
that such-and-such already exists...want to replace it? Click yes. Also, I
suppose that opening the site as you normally do and refreshing the page has
no positive effect; likewise dropping a portion of the URL in the address
bar and clicking go similarly has no effect.
