My PP will not open some PPS. Thought it was the file, though others
could open it.
I downloaded PP 2007 Viewer, it opens the file.
Is it just my 2000 is out of date? Not that I use PP that often, wondered
if there is something I can do, besides buying a newer version.
Thanks.
Think I found the answer, by searching on the web. This was an answer to
someone who wanted to password protect their pps.
Unfortunately some of the previous powerpoint versions don't have password
protection features. However the newer version do have a write protection
features so people can't edit your presentation. Powerpoint 2002 and up
have this feature.
To establish a password open up your powerpoint presentation
Follow these steps:
1. Choose tools>>options
2. Click on the security tab
3. You will notice two password options in this dialog box
4. Select password to modify if you want to prohibit others from editing
you presentation
5. Then type the password in the box which will ask you to confirm.
6. Save and close your presentation
You should also know that powerpoint will not open if you are sharing the
file with a person who is running powerpoint 95 through 2000.
