Steve

I created a Policy that specified 3 characters and History
of 8 for the Password. Two weeks ago I deleted it. I now
have a Policy that forces at least 5 characters and 18
psswd. history. Today people were telling me that when
they change their psswd. that they're only being required
to have 3 characters for psswd. Is it possible for an old
password policy to be out there that I can't see. I know
I deleted it 2 weeks ago, so where could this old policy
be ?

Thanks,
STeve

Use the GPRESULT.EXE utility from Microsoft on the machine
with the user that is having the problem. That will tell
you all the GPO's that are being enforced on that
workstation and in what order they are being enforced.
That will at least give you a starting point to find what
GPO is giving you the trouble.

Steve, you can also use the GPMC utility to get a very
indepth look at how policy is being applied on a
workstation. Only caveat is that I believe it only works
against XP workstations...
