Old Laser Jet Printer

I've just purchased a new ACER computer AMD64 AthlonX2 1GB memory.
I have an old HP 1100 laser jet printer. My question is this, is it
compatible with
this computer ? And will I have any problems with this printer add-on with
my Lexmark X1270 computer ?

Would have taken you less than 2 minutes to look up that information! The
Lexmark is of course a USB printer. The HP... I have no clue, probably an
LPT... does the notebook even have an LPT port because I haven't seen a
recent model notebook with such an object.
