My buddy's old Abit KT7A finally quit booting due to heavy teenager use, and
he asked me to format and re-install W2K SP4.

When I install Via 4.33 Four-in-one, it says it was successful, but on the
restart, no new hardware is found. Then try to install the driver for the
GeForce2 GTS, and that setup says that compatible hardware is not found (I
know that's the right card, I'm holding it in my hand right now). Ditto when
I try to install drivers for the Live! CT4830 (again, I'm holding it in my
hand, so I know I have the right drivers for the cards).

I'm thinking the failure is due to the Four-in-one not installing
successfully (even though it said it was successful). Anybody remember
anything like this?

Thanks!

Yeah, those boards worked better if you just installed Windows and SKIP the
4-in-1 driver install. Really! The default drivers that windows picks work
much better. -Dave

That's the problem with heavy teenagers. Damn fat kids! Cost you an
arm and a leg in burgers and fries, too. :)
