How can I create some thing like old fashion sand watch bitween the pages
while
waiting for query to return the result to display?

I didn't really get what you mean by old-fashioned sand...
 
If u are talking about busy mouse pointer, then set the cursor to
"System.Windows.Forms.Cursors.WaitCursor"
