My emails (send and received) only go back a couple of
months. Where are the old ones (as far back as I want
them)? How can I setup Outlook so that I keep all emails
(forever, if I want)? If I can't keep old emails in
outlook, how can I keep them? Thanks.

Outlook doesn't automatically delete anything unless you set it to do
so. First, check your view settings to make sure you don't have a
filter set on your Inbox that is hiding older items. Go to View |
Current View and set it to Messages, then go to View | Current View |
Customize Current View and make sure the text next to the Filter button
says "None".

You can also check your AutoArchive settings. To check the global
settings, to go Tools | Options | Other and click the AutoArchive
button. You can also check the folder-specific settings by
right-clicking a folder (in this case, the Inbox), choosing Properties,
then clicking the AutoArchive tab. Folder-specific AutoArchive settings
override the global settings, but AutoArchiving must be turned on
globally before any individual folders will be AutoArchived.
