Old email address won't go away!

I have an unusual problem... I have a friend who's email address changed, so
I changed the email address under his contact info. Now, when I type an
email and want to send it to him, if I type his "Nickname" (in this case his
full name), the default address for this nickname is the OLD address. I
have searched high and low within outlook for his old address to eradicate
it, but cannot find it anywhere. How can I make outlook see the new address
as the default instead of the old address?

I have:

XP Pro SP1
P4 2.0 MHz (laptop)
512M RAM
40G HD
Outlook XP (as part of Office XP)

Thanks,
