I have some database files that were made in 1992 with
microsoft works database. I now can't open them with the
Access 2002 program. Really need these files and have no
way to open them. Any ideas?
Able to send these files for view if necessary.
Thanks
Gary

Try using excel to grab the data. From that point on, then ms-access will
have no trouble.

I believe Excel will import that data form works. Once you get the data into
Excel, you are home free. Simply save the excel in a recent format, and
ms-access will gladly import that data.

Anyone with a Windows 95 computer may have a works program old enough to
read that file. One it can be opened, the data can be made into a comma
separated text file, which can then be read by Excel, Access, or just about
any DBMS.

Gary what is the three character code at the end of the
file name? I may be able to bring the files up in a
software program I have and save them into another forwat
for you. Check your email I have sent you a message to
you.
