Old Card Configuration Utility?

I've got an old Mach 64 GX card in an old machine. The display is
extremely right, so that a black stripe is on the left and some of the
screen is lost on the right. The monitor can be adjusted to display,
but there are several other computers sharing the monitor via a KVM
switch, and this makes the other computers all have the problem on the
extreme left. It seems to me that there used to be an ATI utility
that could change this - can anyone tell me to change this now?

Try adjusting the refresh rate. Off-centre display on the monitor is often
due to incorrect refresh rate. If using windows 2000 or Windows XP use
display>properties>advanced>adapter>"list all modes" and try different
refresh rates to see which ones provide an acceptable display on the monitor
at different resolutions, then try using these.

Thanks, Tony.

But adjusting the refresh rate didn't help. I was looking at the DOS
utility pack and wondering if the utiity that makes changes in the
settings on the card would have a setting to adjust this. It would be
a real hassle to find out because I converted all my hard disks to
NTFS. I could try for a DOS 6.22 install on a spare hard drive if I
thought it would help, but it's too much hassle based on mere
speculation.

You will need a DOS utility for this, it should fit on a diskette Imy memory
is correct.
Has to be 10yrs or more since I've run the thing. But the monitor/refresh
video configuration is programed into the card with
a dos utility on the early ATI Mach8, 32 & 64 cards.

www.atitech.ca may help look under support.

Try useing a different refresh rate on the machine with the Mach
64 from the others, that setting *should* (depending on the
KVM you have) be only used for that comp and not interfere with
the centering on the other machines.
