old address's offered in name resolution

when Outlook provides suggestions in the TO or CC field,
old address are offered for contacts along with new ones.
How can I delete these address. They have been deleted
from Contacts and Ihave no other address books

You forgot to post your Outlook version. Assuming you are using Outlook
2002, highlight them in the suggested list.
Hit your Delete key.
